How to get there

The NEC, Birmingham

We want to make sure that your journey and experience at the national Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show 2019 NEC Birmingham is as smooth and fantastic as possible.

The NEC is located in the middle of the UK, 8 miles East of Birmingham city centre. It is easily accessible by road, train and air.

Travelling by plane

Birmingham International Airport (BHX) is adjacent to the NEC, conveniently located for foreign visitors and those travelling on internal flights. Simply take the free and fast air-rail link to Birmingham International Railway Station located at the upper level of Terminal 1. The train runs every two minutes and only takes 90 seconds. When you arrive just head straight through to the NEC to the Show!

Travelling by Taxi

Taxis are usually available outside the Piazza main entrance; Atrium 1 entrance and Atrium 3 entrance when shows are taking place.

T.O.A Taxis are one of the appointed suppliers of the NEC, their friendly service is available to you 24/7.   You can book T.O.A Taxi by phone on 0121 427 8888 or 0800 0142 729 (free phone), online or via their handy app. T.O.A Taxis accept all major Credit Cards, subject to a processing charge of 10%+VAT.


Travelling by train

The NEC is right next to Birmingham International rail station. You can get to our halls quickly and conveniently, without having to step outside!  The NEC entrance is on the right hand side as you exit the station, and clearly signposted.   Many services run direct to Birmingham International. If yours doesn’t, you can catch a connecting train at Birmingham New Street. There are regular services, and the journey only takes 10-15 minutes.

Travelling by bus

Regular local buses depart from Birmingham City Centre.

The 900 service runs every 15 mins during the day taking approximately 30 mins.

The 97 service operates every 30 mins, 24hrs a day taking approximately 45 mins.

Buses to the NEC can be caught at Birmingham Moor Street and Solihull stations.  For further information, visit National Rail enquiries or call on 08457 484950.

Local bus services also run every 30 mins throughout the day to Solihull (service 966) and Coventry (service 900).

National Express run services between Digbeth coach station and Birmingham International Airport, from where it is easy to reach the NEC.

Travelling by car

Located bang in the middle of the UK’s motorway network, jumping in the car is the ideal way to get to the NEC. Just pop B40 1NT in your sat nav and you’ll be with us in no time. The NEC is situated 8 miles east of Birmingham city centre. When you arrive at the NEC don’t follow your satnav anymore, instead follow the signs – look out for our show name!
