We are passionate about making the leisure vehicle industry practical and enjoyable for everyone, and The NEC shares our enthusiasm. The NEC is committed to being accessible to all, and that’s why The NEC disability access is of such a high standard. All levels of The NEC are accessible to wheelchair users; including the Piazza and Atrium, where the main entrances have automatic doors. One person is admitted free-of-charge per wheelchair user or person whose disability necessitates a carer.
Wheelchairs are supplied by The NEC and are available free of charge for Blue Badge holders and £5 for all other visitors. The number of wheelchairs is limited, so if you have your own, please bring it with you.
Assistance dogs are always welcome at our shows and at the NEC. We do request that owners bring with them their valid assistance dog licence.
Scooters supplied by The NEC cost £15 per day for all visitors. We strongly advise visitors to pre-book equipment to avoid disappointment. Visitors can also book via the NEC website. For any visitors who have not pre-booked equipment and arrive on the day, any remaining stock will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. This is a non-refundable NEC scheme.
Carers A carer accompanying a Registered Disabled visitor is free of charge. When you arrive at the Show make your way to a box office and fill in a ‘carers’ form. Once completed you will receive your free carer’s ticket. The box offices are clearly sign posted for your convenience. A carer’s ticket cannot be pre-booked online and have to be completed at the Show.
Disabled Facilities – Accessible wheelchair friendly toilets are available across the venue; you can access these in halls 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
A Changing Places toilet is also available in the Hall 20 Atrium area. It provides space for up to 2 carers – and extra features to meet additional needs, including height adjustable adult-sized changing benches and a hoist system.
Parking is included in the ticket price and allocated on arrival. Strictly no overnight parking is allowed on the site.
Disabled Parking is available, but cannot be pre-booked. Please note, you should bring your Blue Badge with you, even if you are arriving by taxi.
If you are arriving by taxi and have your Blue Badge with you, you will be able to be dropped off at the main entrances. If you also require a pick up, please advise the taxi firm that you have a Blue Badge and the taxi will be permitted to collect you from the main entrances.
Please be aware that the NEC is a private site. To protect the available disabled parking spaces for those who are entitled to it, The NEC reserve the right to inspect Blue Badges to ensure that they are being used by those entitled to do so.
